Measures to solve the environmental problem

With the vision of a further developed plant concept, we built an operational prototype plant in 2023, which we are continuously developing further. This should make it possible for the first time to realise a completely closed-loop economy for PET food packaging. In terms of the technical approach, we have chosen a cold mechanical process that achieves purification with the lowest energy input compared to chemical, biochemical or thermal processes.

Funding from the German Federal Environmental Foundation DBU is helping us to achieve this. In industrialised and emerging countries, this results in annual CO² emissions of 12.4 million tons.
